Counselling

Jane Allen is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) and the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). Jane has experience working with individuals and couples with such relationship issues as marital dissatisfaction, conflict, and infidelity. Jane has also supported individuals who suffer from anxiety and depression, and who feel “stuck” in life due to career frustrations, transitions, fear of change and lack of meaning.

Jane’s goal is to provide hope, insight, and new perspectives to her clients. She is an avid reader, researcher, and learner and works to find a good match with each client and a suitable counselling approach. Working as a psychologist is a second career for Jane. Amber is a Masters of Counselling graduate, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist.

Amber helps clients who have experienced trauma by means of physical, sexual or emotional abuse. in addition to those who have experienced childhood neglect, racism, discrimination and oppression. Trauma can also occur during childbirth, loss of life, career and major life changes, as well as divorce, bullying and rejection.

Amber helps her clients explore what happened to them, how it impacted their lives along with those around them, and help release the bonds of trauma so clients can take back control and live more fulfilling lives.

Brooke Horley is a mental health counsellor, with a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy, and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. A registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals, Brooke’s core counselling principles are person-centred, believing that we are all experts in our own lives.
